My style of painting, for lack of a better term, is realism. However, my approach is to create works that are not simply copies of photographs, but paintings with a soul. My paintings are as true to nature as possible in terms of form, color and perspective. I trek to areas surrounding my home in southeast Georgia including the low country of South Carolina, the barrier islands of coastal Georgia, and northern Florida, to the Okefenokee swamp in south Georgia.
